Tobias Boe Thomsen

Waterheart began where precision engineering meets a holistic view of nature. Tobias designs and builds the Heart in Denmark — pairing a master's in mechanical engineering with a deep belief that water, treated the way nature intended, is alive.
Tobias holds a Master of Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), specialising in Materials & Manufacturing Engineering. His work lives at the intersection of product design, fluid mechanics, and precision manufacturing — the exact disciplines the Heart demands.
His master's thesis was built around an experimental cyclone separator — a study of how fluids behave when forced into a vortex. That same fascination with spiralling, imploding flow is what makes the Heart possible: a chamber whose every internal dimension is governed by the golden ratio, shaping water the way a river bend or a whirlpool would.
Years of CNC and CAD work taught him to hold tolerances to a thousandth of a millimetre. "If I can make something exactly on the measurement required, I'm happy — and the customer is happy." The Heart is machined from 316L surgical-grade steel by selective laser melting to honour that standard.
Beyond the workshop, Tobias lives a holistic life — combining yoga and engineering to, in his words, raise the collective consciousness for an integrated lifestyle. It's a philosophy that maps cleanly onto Viktor Schauberger's century-old call to comprehend and copy nature.
